VW adjusting production amid semiconductor shortage

FRANKFURT —  Germany’s Volkswagen stated on Friday it confronted a scarcity in the offer of semiconductors and would alter output at facilities in China, North America and Europe.

Semiconductor companies earlier in the coronavirus crisis shifted their output absent from the challenging-strike vehicle sector to provide other places, like buyer electronics, Volkswagen explained.

But a restoration in the automobile field now indicates that Volkswagen is dealing with a bottleneck in source.
